8 years since the ordination and enthronement of His Eminence Archbishop Nicolae
Wednesday, July 14, 2010 was the celebration of 8 years since the ordination and enthronement of H.E. Archbishop Nicolae. His Eminence Nicolae served the Divine Liturgy at Sts. Constantine and Helen Cathedral in Chicago, IL along with the Cathedral's clergy. During the Divine Liturgy prayers of thanksgiving were uttered for all the blessings poured upon our Archdiocese in these eight years of hierarchical ministry of H.E. Archbishop Nicolae and also for the health of Fr. Ovidiu Sabau and all those in suffering. There were not forgotten our brothers from Romania who are facing these days the outpouring of rain.
At the time of the sermon, Archbishop Nicolae explained the necessity of this thanksgiving service and its importance at the anniversary moments in the life of every Christian. H.E. Nicolae talked to the present faithful about the ordination and enthronement moment on July 14, 2002 at St. John the Baptist parish in Montreal in the presence of His Beatitude Patriarch Teoctist and other nine bishops, four from Romania and five from the North American continent. Archbishop Nicolae noted the parental love he has been welcomed with in Bucharest in December 2001, by H.B. Patriarch Teoctist, after seven years of studying in France, about the organization of the ordination and enthronement event in Montreal, about the special hosting offered to this event by St. John the Baptist Parish community. At the end, His Eminence Archbishop Nicolae received wishes of many and happy years of hierarchal ministry.
